There are times when a president should speak to the country. Times of trial and tribulation on a national scale. That's to be expected.... But of course the "president" we have now doesn't understand or care about such aspects of national government.
We are saddled with a self absorbed narcissist with a pathway to destruction and division being paved before him, and the nation. The inability to maintain a Constitutional mandate has been proven over and over again. So with that, should anything less be expected when it comes to State issues being decided on the screens and over the airwaves of public opinion??
The results of the George Zimmerman trial has been decided and irregardless of the outcome, a neutral stance by a president should be expected. If any statement at all were to be made it would, in the very least, be one of healing of emotions and understanding. Instead, we got a self portrait of comparison by the POTUS in an attempt to bond with and inflame the temperament of a narrow minded voter base in the "oppressed" black population of our nation.

Divisiveness comes in many forms. With our president it has the same face it has had since 2008. Nothing new is being revealed. A leader of a nation is expected to be above the fray, to project a fatherly figure of calm and sensibility throughout the nation and across the racial lines. But this is being lost here.
The obvious agenda, to me at least, was a golden opportunity for casting out a lifeline of re-securing segments of the Democratic Base who have been disenfranchised by the events of the last year and a half or so. An awakening to the reality of the situation in personal experience and the failure of the promises made has begun to take hold. The "Hope" has not materialized to meet the expectations or desires of those Obamazombies that insist on this being the greatest president of all time.
The distraction was quite timely and needed for the POTUS. Events in the State Of Florida created a golden opportunity for a change of focus on a further polarizing topic of Race. In the very least one would expect a real man of authority to not make personal comparisons in a state matter with little, if any true similarities. With this flaming thorn of division, real and perceived, being stoked for greater conflict it's only a matter of time before civil unrest becomes a reality, and then, the trap will be sprung.
Using the death of a teenager, and with most regards of reality, a young adult, as a platform for the further stretching of racial divides is cowardly at best.

The "Rev." Sharpton is attempting something that should, by standards of the Department Of Homeland Security, make him a marked man. But then a black activist such as "The Rev." is above that entirely by being just what he is. The racial divide can be seen here on a reverse image. Abilities for the black population in an activist role to make comments and communicate threats is obvious.
The tactic is one the Right Wing and Conservative / Tea Party movement needs for consolidation. BUT.... This would not be allowed to occur without persecution. This is obvious and is a harsh fact in the world of a Socialist government, our government.

Taking a stand on what's convenient or what's popular takes no effort. It's a matter of just opening your mouth when you're a celebrity. Using status for a statement, not unlike the POTUS, can be abusive in many regards. There is a responsibility in being a celebrity, but of course that is disregarded for what feels good and what puts the name in headlines.
Being hypocritical is nothing new, especially now-a-days. It's good to take a stand on beliefs and on morals we hold dear. An annoying aspect of this is the ability of a celebrity to cherry pick the topic of their "beliefs". This obviously is true of the standard celebrity as well as the POTUS. His supporters in the celebrity realm are excellent in the ability to maintain a flame of division when it's popular.
The deaths of teenagers occur daily across the nation. There is no outcry for justice or denouncements of such bloodshed by those in such high places. No songs for the memory of dozens a week that are gunned down in the early years of life, by those of the same race. No moments of silence to remember the loss of life because of the continuous decay of moral fiber and family in America.
But let there be an outcry for the removal of Stand Your Ground Laws. Ring the alarm by those that surround themselves with Armed Security for the persecution of those that defend themselves in justified circumstances. Make a mockery of the daily living conditions of those that have no choice but to be on guard against those that would do harm. Cowards.... Take your self righteous trumpeting and be gone, you're of no use to anyone but yourself.
Either Stand Up And Defend Freedom When It's Challenged, Or Sit Down And Shut Up When That Freedom Disappears Because You Did Nothing....
