Very often I've been criticized for using only "conservative" media services for reference points. If there be truth in that then here is a turn in denial of that charge.
But anyway.... Onward with the task at hand....
Sequestration.... An interesting concept used to force opposing political parties to come to agreement on Federal Governmental Spending....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budget_Control_Act_of_2011
.... as though children being baited into doing something they should've done anyway. Irresponsible. Asinine.
But one thing is for certain, the POTUS is clever and far quicker in the political arena than most and is getting everything he wants and practically as he wants it. How so you may ask???
The ultimate goal, of the POTUS, is not the prevention of any sequestration hatchet falling. It's the manipulation of a politically void American public that believe every word that tumbles from his rock star lips.
There are remarkable failures in the governing of our nation over the previous 4+ years. Massive assaults against the Conservative and Constitutional values held by a presumptive majority of the citizens of our land.
Once again.... The American people have become lazy and unable to stay focused on the political maneuvering that occurs on a daily basis. Unless it directly affects the average American in an immediate manner then the cost is deemed negligible.
This laziness is demonstrated in the lack of an uprising in the simple reality of increased gas costs, increased food costs, attacks on personal freedoms, lack of response in illegal immigration and the list goes on and on....
The blips on our radars are brief in the overall scheme of daily life. Our personal pain is mild in the moment. We grow accustomed to the pain and shift our focus to the more immediate situations at hand, all the while muttering that it's an outrage that we should pay so much for this or that and that we should have to wait months for the .45 ammo we want. But that is where it ends....
But consider this as we whine in our recliners....
http://www.gallup.com/poll/116479/barack-obama-presidential-job-approval.aspx
51% approval rating............ Absolutely unbelievable!!! People still enamored with the novelty of the first black POTUS. No other explanation is possible with the actual performance of the job being more dismal than even the remarkably horrid President Carter.
A couple of additional things to consider when looking at the "dire emergency" of the sequester.... The real emergencies as I see them....
http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t15.htm
Yeah, hopefully you've seen the link and noticed the increase in unemployment.... I personally would love a president more for continuing an unemployment rate as high as this in his 5th year in office. Wouldn't you???
http://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=pet&s=emm_epmr_pte_nus_dpg&f=w
Gas prices.... Something everyone can relate to in general terms. Sure the prices were high under Bush (as any good Democratic friend of mine would point out to you), BUT.... notice the trend and far less reduction occurring with our current president??? Nothing but love going on here....

Of course.... Soak the filthy rich because they don't pay enough in taxes. It's as though the rich don't pay anything at all. Really??? I refuse to ever.... that's E-V-E-R.... begrudge a wealthy individual their prosperity simply because they realized a dream within the laws of the land.
http://www.moneychimp.com/features/tax_brackets.htm
^----- this one I threw in just because it's cool for personal use by anyone wanting to calculate their tax rate.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/13/payroll-tax-boost_n_2467004.html
But this one is here because it fits personal experience. And the amount is about right for me personally. Add in an increased medical insurance cost and I'm stuck for over $1,200 a year.
And of course it's the nasty Republican's fault because they refuse to further soak the wealthy that, in my opinion, are already being soaked. The super wealthy will only ever stay that way and the blathering of a divisive "leader" solves no issue and helps no cause but his own.
Heard any outcries for the Democratic Senate to actually offer a budget for the first time in over 1000 days??? I doubt it. This is a law!!! Not an optional requirement of the government should they want to do it.
It's still, of course, the Republican House that is to blame for wanting to cut spending and not an inactive Senate that refuses to endanger their own political careers with a respectable and conscientious approach to government spending.
But who am I to question the logic of the American people that saw fit to re-elect the very source of their doom???

Oh yeah.... Those pesky Federal Firefighters.... Wait.... What???.... Firefighters are not Federal Employees??? :-O!!! Wow!!! But surely the all knowing and all seeing POTUS wouldn't mislead the poor ignorant American people would he???
But then when you consider the jobs such as firefighters, teachers and air traffic controllers that are often touted as being affected you see that these are Union jobs. Those being, of course, the base on which the Democratic Party stands.

Interesting chart to consider. Something most people don't consider because it's not spoken of and not related in any way. Want to make an impression on the sequester cuts??? Here is where it starts.

Not going to drag out the obvious and restate those things which require no comment to the thinking and intelligent individual. My only hope is that you would Copy this chart, post it to your Facebook page and there you might make a comment as to the ridiculous hypocrisy being spouted on spending and the need for sanity in cuts to the ever growing beast.....
And one last shot....
http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/2013-02-22/news/fl-doctor-shortage-medicaid-expansion-if-florida-20130222_1_medicaid-expansion-new-medicaid-patients-florida-medical-association
Here is the crest of one of the first waves moving toward the shore of the Affordable Care Act.... Maybe there isn't as much a danger as one might perceive in this brief article??? Being a North Carolinian there isn't much for me to be concerned about. BUT.... I'm not one to be so ignorant and in denial of the ramifications.
There have always been shortages hasn't there??? Always a demand for professionals in the health care industry isn't there??? I'd say that is true. And once again.... BUT.... There is a difference now.
Now we have a governmental control taking over the operations of the doctor's offices and controlling the fees that are charged in a degree never before seen. The ability to achieve the goal of a "doctor's life" is fading at an increasing speed. The typical drive to make better for ones self and family in being able to live the good life is being made Evil and unacceptable.
We are being moved toward a collective, slowly but surely, and with growing acceptance the speed of conversion will increase. A government controlling such personal aspects of a citizens life is unfathomable to me, but is also a reality I see. There is no limit, no containment to the extent of this reach.
We are growing numb to the multiplicity of the attacks, unable to react quickly enough before the next emergency arises. See the angle??? The POTUS makes each emergency a top priority until someone else is given the task of dealing with it, nothing else matters for a week or so with all efforts made to make it critical to the survival of the nation. Then the POTUS becomes bored or disinterested when positive gain cannot be easily made, then moves on.
When any previous "emergency" resurfaces, the POTUS is distanced from the conflict by his wall of task handlers. Even his own declaration of cutting the deficit in half, in his original election campaign has faded from interest and when even mentioned has now become the fault of Congress and not his own leadership.
Bring the Sequestration. Let it fall and destroy what it will.
The true destruction will be a minimal ripple in the pond of overall governmental spending and acceptable collateral damage in the greater view of intentional financial destruction of our country by the POTUS himself.
Either Stand Up And Defend Freedom When It's Challenged, Or Sit Down And Shut Up When That Freedom Disappears Because You Did Nothing....
Hope My Rage Is Your Rage.... If Not.... I Welcome Your View....

There is a such thing as a FEDERAL FIREFIGHTER. We are the ones who are protecting each Army, Navy, Marine & Air Force base. We protect the veternas Hospitals. I'm looking at lossing 20% of my pay over the net few months. Sucks!! Some people I work with will loose there home because Husband and Wife are both Federal Firefighters. Do yourself a favor and google federal firefighters!!
ReplyDeleteMy apologies.... I did Google "Federal Firefighters".... And I got....
ReplyDeletehttp://www.afgefirefighters.org/

http://www.fedfire.org/
Oh wait.... Union websites.... Really???? Interesting.... Not information and glorification of an honorable profession.... But a stack of Union information.... No surprise here.... Typical....
To find out what a "Federal Firefighter" REALLY is supposed to be I had to dig a little bit....
http://www.cnic.navy.mil/PearlHarbor-Hickam/OperationsAndManagement/FireAndEmergencyServices/index.htm
And as was originally intended, the Federal Firefighter was meant to be manned by MILITARY personnel, and not civilians.... Sounds reasonable. I can handle that.
But now we have the typical corruption of the original intent by a bloated Federal Bureaucracy bent to the whining of a Union. And like most other Unconstitutional governmental agencies, this evolved Union Organization is no different than any other self serving special interest.
Yeah, Unconstitutional....
Find where in the Constitution there are provisions for a Federal, Civilian Firefighting Force and get back to me....
As for that 20% loss in pay.... I'm sure your buddy Obama will blame, and you'll believe, a bad bad Republican House is responsible for the loss....
I'm sorry reality has come to roost with such previously protected / insulated Federal Employees like those you know.... Welcome to the real world the rest of us have been facing for over 4 years now....
