Purple Penguins....

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2787443/Politically-correct-Nebraska-school-district-gets-gender-inclusive-tells-teachers-purple-penguins-preferable-phrase-girls-boys-referring-students.html

One must, at some point in time, consider where such concepts originate. What is the trigger that causes people to consider it offensive to refer to children as exactly what they are, boy or girl?

This movement to make our children hyper-sensitive to gender related issues makes a clear statement and has a definite final agenda attached, acceptance of "transgender" children

School systems are making the decision to ignore the basic gender classifications in favor of forcing recognition of any variation thought to be, or known to be, present within the classroom environment. Why is this?

Children in the school systems have an already muddled perception of themselves and others around them and we already know this from our own experiences. We remember the boys and girls that were "different" and didn't act like most other kids in our class.

I remember those that were "not like the rest of us", and yes, that is an acceptable way of looking at it. In most cases, and mostly in hindsight, the specifics of what made them different became more apparent long after we left the school for adulthood.

I have no pervasive recollection of bullies picking on other kids that were different, but I do recall random events. I was bullied myself. But I'm not scared or resentful in my adulthood because of it. Therein lies the crux of this shift toward the government manipulating the decisions on what is right and wrong in the minds of our children, bullying....

Our government is taking the lead in the control of our children because of a distinct lack of parental controls at home. This is exactly and completely the fault of our disengaged and disinterested parents throughout our nation and world.

Bullies are now, always have been, and always will be present in our society. With that in mind we must admit a glaring fact of - children only reflect what they are taught..... Pretty simple and clearly true. This holds true for any bully finding it acceptable to pick on kids they deem to be odd or easy targets.

Who is at fault for this?? Yes, this is a rhetorical question....

What have we done to create this kind of society?? For a few of you this may also be a rhetorical question, and if you've read many of my blogs you already know my opinion....

What actions are we taking to reduce this panic over bullying within our schools, and indeed society in general?? Because bullies do become adults and are still bullies....

Children have enough confusion in their growing / impressionable minds. So by all means, lets create more confusion by redefining what is considered "normal". With this there is a misconception as to what "normal" is, and it's not a conglomeration of any combination of sexual preferences or self-identifications we can compile.

Normal - There is a standard by which we must be measured.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/normal

Wait a minute!!! "Conforming to the standard or the common type;".... Hmmmmmm.... So there is a measure that can be used to determine what is normal.... So why is there so much debate and demands for acceptance??

A loaded question to be sure, but a legitimate question none the less.

Is it because we have begun to evolve into a species of universal tolerance for all things any minority segment of society makes demands rights for?? We're at least tripping all over ourselves trying to "tolerate" and "accept" everything under the sun, but evolved.... Not so much.

Maybe we've lost sight and a grasp for our foundations??

That can most certainly be said when a revised, and indeed sarcastic, definition of Normal is given....

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=normal

Remarkable.... But we've allowed this type of mentality to flourish. And a secular society must accept that with this definition ANYTHING ANYONE WANTS TO DO IS ACCEPTABLE.... Think not?? Then you're a fool....

The ability to not "conform" is now considered normal. And guess what?? That includes these nefarious bullies that in great part triggered this entire movement!! Bullies are non-conformists just like anyone else outside the average, well behaved individual. So they should have the same rights as anyone else in being able to express themselves, according to the Urban Dictionary anyway.

We have gone through the "anything goes" mentality more than once in the history of our world and has been tried repeatedly throughout time. Look at the results and the current status of those societies that have embraced anything as acceptable....

That view is overkill?? Not from my point of view....

When we are forced to accept any attitude or desire as "normal" we are thereby open to any future variation of what has already been allowed. Yes?? Good. Knew you'd come around....

But if you're still not convinced, then give me something on this kind of event....

Getting a grasp of what I'm talking about?? But guess what?? Those crazy Germans aren't the only ones....

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/australiaandthepacific/australia/10958728/Australian-judge-says-incest-may-no-longer-be-a-taboo.html

We are well on our way to Accepting ourselves out of existence....

But understand, it doesn't matter if a resolution passes or judgment is handed down or not. That's not the point. The point is, this was even considered at all. There is the core of the problem. Acceptance, once started, has no end.

Think I've lost sight of the "Purple Penguins"?? Nope....

I don't cast stones at gender bending. Well, yeah I do to a point, but not at adults that have a mind and capacity to make self determinations.

My ability to agree with or "accept" it has no bearing on it. It's my job to guide my life and family down the path WE determine to be right for us. But I digress....

But until an individual reaches adulthood, there is no such thing as self-determination. Before then, it's not for a child to determine to the detriment of others around them. Sorry.... take it or leave it....

There is a NORMAL, or AVERAGE, if you will.

It is not average or normal for a child to be endowed with the ability to say, "I'm A Boy, But I'm Built Like A Girl!" and it taken as a final word.... There may be questions from a child struggling with that identity, but they DO NOT have the capacity to determine once and for all who they are. (This is where parents SHOULD have a direct impact)

What of all the other "penguins", or majority if you will?? A curiosity with gender is natural. Indoor plumbing vs. outdoor plumbing, to quote the phrase I've heard since childhood.

Before adulthood, children will question EVERYTHING that is brought before them. Remember the "Why??" question being asked repeatedly?? That's a question to be asked of parents. As uncomfortable as the question may eventually turn into, it's the responsibility of the PARENT to teach their child about the values deemed acceptable by that family.

With a distinct lack of Active Parenting in our younger generations, we've seen an aggressive government stepping in to fill the gap.

Instead of parents teaching children that it's Not Ok to pick on or bully people they know that are different, it's the government that steps in and determines that acceptance, rather than non persecution is the only acceptable "normal".

But aren't those the same thing?? In my opinion, NO....

Lets go with Acceptance - There are two versions of this.

1) Accepting that something exists, without being forced to support it.
2) Accepting that something exists, with mandatory support for it.

Those are the only acceptable forms that I'm aware of.

In the first, you are aware of and acknowledge the existence of something, whether it be tangible or not. This acknowledgment does not automatically convert into support for that topic as we are given to free will and the ability to agree or not agree.

This first definition is corrupted by the failure of those that claim it in not persecuting those who they oppose the opinions of. Here is where the bully comes into play. The bully hasn't been taught that just because he or she doesn't agree doesn't mean that they attack the individual.

In the second, you are aware of and acknowledge the existence of something whether tangible or not. This acknowledgement MUST be converted into support for that topic, regardless of personal opinion or beliefs. Failure to accept, in this definition, marks you as prejudiced.

This second definition is corrupted by the failure to also Accept that having an opposing opinion is perfectly acceptable and Failure of acceptance has fostered the term "thought police". Irony is bitter at times....

   Bottom Line......
Our feelings are being worn on our sleeves. We are being beaten down by the minority as a controlling interest on the majority. How is this possible??

To condone what has been previously deemed as unacceptable behavior is to be giving up our ability to maintain controls on what is acceptable. In the end that produces an environment of zombies that are actually the exact being that is being protested now.... A conformist.

This conformity sacrifices individuality for the sake of not seeming different than those that are indeed.... different. A conundrum to say the least....
